The Whiston and St Helens Hospitals’ Charity raises funds for things which it would not be possible to provide through NHS budgets. The charity funds things over and above the essential; the things that can help to make people’s treatment that bit easier or to reduce anxiety and increase wellbeing. 

The idea was to communicate the 'extra spark' that the charity was to its patients and families, that extra something that made the difference to people's lives. They always push further and work harder to make their patient's lives brighter. The scribbled typeface was proposed as type created by sparkler neon glow, but we had to consider the ease of reproduction on tight budgets so we opted for a pared back friendly scribble to highlight the extras and become the friendly voice of the charity.

The brand roll out included identity, look and feel, leaflets, posters, banners, T-shirts, collection tins, certificates, stationery and social media posts. Working with Plum Marketing
